**IMPORTANT**

Dear all,

I hope this message finds you well.

I apologize for the lack of updates over the past few weeks. There have been several developments that I wanted to share with you.

The pitch at Tring School has needed refurbishment for some time, and the school sports centre has been seeking funding for a new pitch. We've been involved in discussions as much as possible. A decision has now been made to install a new pitch during the summer of 2025. Unfortunately, this will be a 4G surface. The reasons behind this choice are that it better suits the primary school sports such as football and rugby and offers greater flexibility for other school activities. However, this surface is unsuitable for hockey, as it does not perform well for the sport and England Hockey prohibits league matches on this type of surface.
We have confirmed that we can use the current pitch for the upcoming season, with the goals being repaired as well. This will, however, be our last season playing at the school. We are exploring alternative options for the club's future and would appreciate your input on this matter. We will use the AGM as a forum to discuss this and encourage you to join us once the date is confirmed.

Additionally, we had provisionally scheduled a Presentation Dinner for Friday, June 14th. However, due to low availability (including many prize recipients), the event was not viable, so we have rescheduled it for Friday, June 28th. I hope this date is more convenient, and I apologize for any inconvenience. I am pleased to announce that Paul Dumpleton will be joining us to present the Rose Bowl award. Please let your captain know if you are available to attend the dinner on June 28th.

Lastly, we will start summer-friendly games on June 12th at 7:30 pm. I hope to see as many of you as possible then.
Thank you
Ian
Chairman THC
