Hi everyone,
The new hockey season is just around the corner, and we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back to the Club. We’ve been preparing a few things over the summer to get us ready for the season ahead.
Training starts on Wednesday 2nd September at 7.30pm at the Tring School pitch.
We’re also really pleased to have Gary coaching us this year. This is a big investment in the Club and will give us some great structure, support and coaching throughout the season.
The fixtures are now available on the South Central website. The 2nd XI get their season underway on Saturday 12th September, with the 1st XI starting a week later on Saturday 19th September.
Saturday 12th September is also a special day for the Club, as we’ll be holding a celebration for Gilbert. We’ll be playing the England LX in the afternoon, so please come along, whether you’re playing or simply want to support and be part of the occasion.
We’re also keen to recruit new players this season. If you know anyone who plays hockey, used to play, or is simply interested in giving it a go, please encourage them to come along to training. The more players we can bring into the Club, the stronger and more sustainable we can make Tring Hockey.
Looking further ahead, we have ambitions to grow the Club by starting junior hockey and establishing a ladies’ team. To help us achieve these plans, we’re also seeking sponsorship and financial support. If you know of a local business or individual who may be willing to support the Club, please let us know. Any support would be hugely appreciated and would help us invest in coaching, equipment and the development of hockey at Tring.
It’s an exciting time for Tring Hockey Club, and we’d love everyone to get behind these plans.
Here’s to a great season ahead — plenty of hockey, good times and hopefully plenty of success! ??
See you at training!
