The wait is over. Tring Hockey Club kick off their 106th season this Saturday as both men’s teams step into South Central League action, and there’s plenty to be excited about.

The Men’s 1st XI begin life in the newly created Division 6 North with a home clash against Maidenhead 2s. Push back is at 12:30, and it’s a match with extra significance: the first competitive fixture on our brand new astroturf. With the Brown twins stepping up into the first team, the 1s will be looking to set the tone for the season with energy, pace, and a statement win on our new pitch.

Meanwhile, the Men’s 2nd XI start their campaign in Division 2 Cherwell with an away trip to Leighton Buzzard 4s at 15:30. Experience will be key in this one, and the squad is boosted by the return of Rob Boddington and Ian Styles.

Both teams are eager to hit the ground running. The 1s have the platform of home advantage and a new surface to showcase their hockey, while the 2s will be aiming to get points on the board early away from home.
